Nokkrar myndir eru til af þessum bíl og nafn síðasta eiganda á Íslandi.
Sá er Ted Madill. Ted sendi mér myndir og upplýsingar um bílinn en veit ekki fyrri sögu.
Ted segir:
Oh, boy, that was so long ago, 1976 to 1980. I shipped it back to the states when I transferred from Iceland in 1980, then traded it in on another vehicle after a couple of years. I don't have any records of the VIN or anything left in my records. The only thing I remember is the Icelandic license plate number assigned to the Bronco, which was JO5170.I do know that the vehicle was originally sold in Iceland from a dealer to someone on the base. It was a 1972 Ford Bronco and had the Icelandic 'back seat' installed in it (where they cut the tops off the wheel wells in the back and made a seat that extended across to seat more people.
Not sure if you could cross reference the license plate with the Icelandic motor vehicle department records to get the VIN or not.Be interesting to hear what you find, please keep me informed!
